Change in School Timings in Kashmir Division

In response to numerous requests from parents and other stakeholders, and considering the current heatwave conditions, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir has issued a notice regarding a change in school timings for students.

New School Timings

Effective immediately, classwork in all Government and Recognized Private Schools up to the Higher Secondary level in the Kashmir Division will commence from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm in both rural and urban areas. This adjustment has been made to alleviate the impact of the ongoing heatwave on students.

Staff Timings

It is further specified that both Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff are required to attend their duties from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Duration of New Timings

This revised schedule will remain in effect until 10th August 2024.
